Damian J. Holbrook has been with TV Guide magazine for more than 11 years, having started as a text writer after his 1994 graduation from Temple University. Over the years, he has assisted in the development of local-programming coverage, represented TV Guide at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles, provided daytime material for both editions of TV Guide's "Guide to TV," been a regular contributor to TVGuide.com's "Watercooler" column, and has written the magazine's "Soap Opera Review" since 1999. Raised on a steady diet of daytime dramas by his Young and the Restless-addicted mother, Mr. Holbrook has been a champion of the genre, leading to the magazine's first-ever Close-Ups on "event" episodes of various soaps, as well as online items ranging from interviews to recaps to minute-by-minute coverage of the Daytime Emmy Awards.
